Poodles, no matter their size, are some of the most popular breeds of dogs all over the world. They are incredibly smart, easy to train, and hardly ever shed. That does not mean that they do not need maintenance, especially with their coat. They can easily become a matted mess if not properly groomed, often. Toy breeds of poodle are fragile just like any other toy breed, so be sure you do your research before picking one of these up.
This is what they call a designer breed dog. It is a cross breed between a Yorkie and a Toy Poodle. They are a playful breed who will run and jump all over the place. You might think they are convinced that they are mini superheroes with all of their antics. They are really great with people and kids but may not always be happy to see other dogs. Because of their breeding, size can vary from seven to 15 inches from floor to shoulder, and they can weigh anywhere from three to 14 pounds.
Teacup Shih Tzu
If you are looking for a sweet little dog that will easily tolerate you putting bows in her hair, you might love this breed. They have low energy levels and do not like to bark much, so they are perfect for older people who live in apartments. They have no more health issues than a standard Shih Tzu. The Teacup Shih Tzu is not a recognized breed on its own. They are technically just regular Shih Tzus that are bred to be small, so there is no accurate information about weight and size.
This breed of dog acts like royalty. They prefer a single-dog household and do not care to be around kids. They are not destructive and love to be on their owner's lap or following them around the house. They are pretty stubborn, so they need professional training. But, they are also pretty low maintenance as they do not eat a whole lot and require very little exercise. This is another breed perfect for an older person who lives in an apartment.
